The National Institutes of Health is rolling out a new electronic system for the submission of multi-project applications. The roll-out will occur on a program-by-program basis starting with the September 25, 2013 deadlines. The new system, called Application Submission System and Interface for Submission Tracking (ASSIST), is a web-based system designed to work with Grants.gov and the complexities of NIH’s multiproject applications.

The transition schedule begins with the following Activity Codes: P01, P20, P50, and U19. NIH anticipates that Activity Codes G12, P30, P40, P41, P42, P51, P60, R28, S06, U10, U41, U42, U45, U56, UM1 and UC7 will follow on or after January 25, 2014.

Sponsored Projects Administration is offering ASSIST training for U of M research faculty and administrators. Classes will be held on July 31, August 20 and September 3 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in room 665 of McNamara Alumni Center.

To register for a class, please send an email with your preference to ersstrai@umn.edu.
